Lake Erie Committee - Standing Technical Committee

The Standing Technical Committee (STC) consists of fisheries scientists from state and provincial fisheries management agencies on Lake Erie. The STC is a sub-committee of the Lake Erie Committee (LEC), appointed by the LEC. The main function of the STC is to organize and to help facilitate work in the form of charges from the LEC. STC members are the senior scientific advisory group for the LEC.

 

Charges

The following are the charges to the STC for the 2007-2008 work year.

  1. Prepare agenda for 2007-2008 Lake Erie committee meetings.
  2. Organize State of the Lake Report for publication.
  3. Represent Lake Erie Committee STC on the Council of Lake Committee subcommittee, "Technical Committee Chairs."
  4. Oversee the scoping and preparation of a Yellow Perch Management Plan.
  5. Oversee a review of the weighting factors provided to various data sources input into the catch-at-age model for both walleye and yellow perch. Recommend the most scientifically defensible method to weight data inputs into the model.
  6. Oversee production of an ADMB procedure/documentation manual.
